The Gaucho Horseback Riding is an ideal way to immerse yourself in the Pampas of Argentina over two days, experiencing life as a Gaucho.
First, we will introduce you to the “Caballos Criollos” and the unique Gaucho saddlery.
Led by Gauchos, we’ll ride through the Pampas’ natural trails and rural areas, with plenty of time to take in the scenery.
You will stay and spend the night at a small lodge in a gaucho town, and as a typical lunch you will have a traditional “asado argentino”.

At your hotel or apartment front door in Buenos Aires. In a private tour: we can also pick you up/drop you off in the Cruise Terminal in BA, in the Domestic Airport J. Newbery or in the Intl. Airport Ezeiza (in this case extra fees applies)
Pick up in Buenos Aires 8:30am, drop off in BA 6:00pm
Lunch includes a full “asado argentino” with drinks. We can accommodate vegan, gluten-free, or other dietary restrictions with prior notice.
Take into account that lunch will be served at a camp.
Two full days of horseback riding through natural trails and rural areas, led by local Gauchos. Riders will experience the use of authentic Gaucho saddlery and Criollo horses.
Yes, this tour is designed for all experience levels. Gauchos will guide and assist riders throughout the journey.
We offer standard and premium lodging options. Both include a comfortable room and meals, but premium lodging provides enhanced amenities. Pricing will vary accordingly.
The Tour rates are variable depending on: group size booking together, children, place to be pick up (Buenos Aires or Airport), semi-private or private service, if you choose Estancia El Ombú de Areco or Estancia La Bamba de Areco o Estancia La Porteña de Areco, luggage, extra services, special tailored tour, etc.
The Areco and Buenos Aires Estancia Tour is not cancelled in case of forecasted rain or rain: we adapt every activity in Areco Town and in the Estancia to the weather conditions. Some of the activities and demonstrations can be delayed, modified or cancelled for safety reasons
You can bring up to one handbag per person. If you need to bring more luggage to the Buenos Aires Estancia Tour please clearly clarify it in your request so we can specially set the transportation for you.
Services/activities or shows not specially included in the program of the Buenos Aires Estancia Tour, stops/detours during the transfer in the standard itinerary from/to Buenos Aires, extra services, alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks between meals, Polo class, towels, tips.
We can customize your Tour with: special vehicle/activities, in some other language, visiting a different estancia in San Antonio de Areco, for a big group tour, please let us know about your request filling up the contact form
For regular dates: Communication of cancellation before 72hs of the departing hour: transaction fee of 7% . Within 72 and 48hs previous of the departing hour: cancellation fee of 50% of the total amount. Within the 48hs previous to the departing hour or no show for 15 minutes from the pick up time: cancellation fee of 100%.
If you pay the reservation with a Bank transfer: Before 72hs of the departing hour: transaction flat fee of USD 45 plus 2% for the refund, within 72 and 48hs previous of the departing hour: cancellation flat fee of USD 45 plus 50% of the total amount paid. Within the 48hs previous, or no show for 15 minutes, to the departing hour: cancellation fee of 100%.
If you need to change the date of your Tour (subject to availability): Before 72hs of the departing hour: no cost, within 72 and 48hs previous of the departing hour: change fee of 30%. Within 48 and 24hs previous to the departing hour: change fee of 50%. Within the 24hs previous to the departing hour: change fee of 80%.
