AGRICULTURAL TOUR NEAR BUENOS AIRES

Meet with the Manager in charge of a large working ranch: 26.000 acres and 9000 livestock, in the area of San Antonio de Areco.

Going through the fields and facilities of the “Estancia” having conversations about agribusiness aspects, livestock management and crops production.

They also produce, process and preserve their own fodder and forage for the livestock.

Argentina is not only known for its traditional agricultural practices but also for its cutting-edge technologies and innovations in the field.

One of the highlights of exploring the Pampas is the opportunity to witness the traditional gaucho culture.

Gauchos, the Argentine version of cowboys, are skilled horsemen who have been an integral part of the region’s cattle ranching industry for centuries.

CLIENTS ABOUT US

My wife and myself had a wonderful day together. Our driver picked us on time at our hotel, and we drove out to the morning tour of a grain farm. We farm in the United States, so we were interested in their operation. The owners took us out to visit corn and soybean fields then took us to a neighbor’s farm sheds to view his large farm equipment. They answered all our questions, and we enjoyed viewing the farm equipment and operations differences. Afternoon was spent at the Camino Pampa with a horse rode, delicious barbeque, music, dancing and a gaucho show. Highly recommend this trip and thanks to Lina for putting this together for us.

We booked this as a small group tour, and as it turned out we were the only two guests that day, so it became a private experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Argentina. José picked us up at our hotel in Palermo at 8 in the morning, right on time, and brought us back at 6 in the evening after a full and beautifully paced day.

José was the reason the day worked so well. He is incredibly knowledgeable, warm and easy to be around, and he listened to what we were curious about. He adjusted the time we spent at each stop so the day felt tailored to us rather than run off a fixed script. We do not speak Spanish, but that was never a problem — José translated everything effortlessly and made sure we could actually talk with the people we met rather than just watch from a distance.

One of us comes from a farming background, and we especially appreciated getting a real insight into the day-to-day running of the estancia. Being able to ask proper questions about how the operation works, and to have them answered in detail, made the visit far more interesting than a standard tourist stop.

The vehicle was clean and comfortable, which made the driving between stops a pleasure. The ranch itself was fascinating, and everyone we met along the way was extraordinarily friendly. The service was second to none.

One practical note: it is winter in Argentina at the moment, so dress for the weather — much of the day is spent outdoors.

We can warmly recommend this tour, and José in particular.

Agricultural Business Tour

Experience a deep dive into the engine of Argentine economy with our Agro-Business On-Site Tour in San Antonio de Areco. This professional exchange provides exclusive access to a massive 26,000-acre working ranch, home to over 9,000 livestock, where the scale of operations meets precision management.

Far from a standard visit, you will engage in a technical on-site talk with the Ranch Manager, gaining first-hand insights into large-scale livestock management, sustainable crop production, and the strategic processing of self-produced fodder and forage.

The Province of Buenos Aires, particularly the humid Pampas region, serves as the global epicenter for agricultural innovation. Fieldwork here is characterized by a sophisticated blend of no-till farming (siembra directa), satellite-monitored yields, and world-class genetic selection in cattle.

While witnessing these cutting-edge technologies, you will also observe the essential role of the Gaucho, whose centuries-old horsemanship remains the most efficient and sustainable way to handle livestock in these vast territories. This tour bridges the gap between traditional heritage and the high-tech reality of modern Argentine agribusiness.”
